World Hearing Day

Today, 3rd March, is World Hearing Day – an initiative sponsored by the World Health Organisation

It’s a day that has been set aside to raise awareness and celebrate our sense of hearing. It’s also an opportunity for audiologists around the world to educate, inform and advise on the need for regular hearing screenings, to identify the need for the earliest of interventions if hearing falters, and to highlight how other health risks are inextricably linked and reduced when hearing is improved.

Hearing Healthcare Practice is proud to support the initiatives around World Hearing Day and, we’re proud to say, our small clinic’s reach is global. Although we are based in a small town outside London, where we are a local community-based independent hearing clinic, we also cater for national and international visitors. And, with this in mind, we thought it would be fun to see where people have traveled from to visit us recently, or where our virtual consults have taken us.

It’s a list that always takes us by surprise!

From the UK: Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Essex, Greater London, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Gloucestershire, Avon, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cheshire, Cornwall, Devon, Wales, and Scotland.

And from around the world: Spain, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, France, USA, The Bahamas, Hong Kong, Sweden, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand!

Wherever you are in the world, if you have concerns about your hearing, why not get in touch?
