On Monday 19th September, we witnessed a spectacular global event as much of the world’s population came together to watch the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Two thousand global citizens were fortunate to be invited to attend in person and witness history unfolding in front of their very eyes.
At the top of the first page of the Order of Service was this note.
We know there were several dignitaries who wear hearing aids in attendance at Westminster Abbey, and many would have been able to connect to the loop system and be able to enjoy and partake in the service. Loops are common in public places in the UK but many people don’t always know that they are available.
It’s lovely to note that the availability of a loop system in Westminster Abbey was afforded such prominence in the Order of Service. The Queen was, after all, herself a wearer of hearing aids.
